Portfolio

This module will allow me to develop my portfolio, something that I have wanted to update and change for over 2 years.

When I left college after completing a photography course, I decided to put together a portfolio of personal work as well as some of the work that I had produced whilst on my course at college. This portfolio would be to support myself when visiting university interviews. This portfolio now seems some what aged and it doesn't put myself across as a photographer, this is why I need to update it. My current portfolio is some what confusing, there are many different areas of which I am interested in and my portfolio showcases them all. I have primarily fashion photographs in there with a handful of documentary photographs.

I have several sets of photographs which I feel would be more suitable for me to show at this stage in my career. I will begin to edit these down then proceed to print them out and put them in my carry case/ portfolio. I want to show my strongest piece of work in my new portfolio instead of having all my different photographic interests in there, this would looks more professional and give me a greater chance when speaking to future clients.

In the near future I would like to attend portfolio review days, this would allow me to see others portfolios as well as gather feedback about my own work and how I could progress it. There may be an opportunity for me to take my portfolio into university and get my tutors and peers to have a look over it and give me feedback.
